PONTOTOC- Mother Ethel Lee Keys, 89, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born on July 11, 1929 to the late Mr. Ira Weatherall and Mrs. Louise Marion Weatherall. She was a faithful member of Cherry Creek M.B. Church in Ecru, MS, until her health failed. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, President of the Deaconess, and was one of the Church Mother’s, along singing in the adult choir. She was also a member of the Pontotoc- Union- Lafayette Counties Singing Covention. She was employed at Rivera Shirt Factory, Keystone and Pontotoc Head Start. She was married to John Rad Keys on November 29, 1947. They were married for 60 years and to this union 5 children were born
Services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2p.m. at Pontotoc Second Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Pontotoc City Cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories one daughter: Teresa Keys of Pontotoc, MS. One son: Carl (Janice) Keys of Pontotoc, MS. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband: Rad Keys. Three children: J.W. Keys, Ira Jean Keys and Carol Keys. Two brothers: R.C. Weatherall and her twin brother: Eddie B. Weatherall.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 11a.m. until serive time at the church.
