Willie Hampton, 66, of Ashland, MS, transitioned on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his residence.

On November 21, 1957, Willie Earl Hampton was born to the late Johnie Lee Hampton and the late Frankie Mae Williams, in Lamar, MS. On Saturday, July 13, 2024, he went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord

Willie loved basketball, loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Willie leaves to cherish his loving memories: one son: Keldwin Keno Hampton (Tasha)  of Corinth, MS; two daughters: Felicia Hampton of Ashland, MS and Labrita A. Miller (Patrick) of Booneville, MS; three brothers: Walter Lee Hampton (Ethel), John Henry Spencer, and Lonnie Spencer all of Ashland, MS; two sisters: Brenda Lee Spencer Brown (Terry) of Ashland, MS, and Cindy Ayers of Jackson, MS; seven grandchildren: Cameya & Camryn Hampton, Anarria Berry, Ahliyah Warlick, Aiyanna Berry, Owen Warlick, and Alaina Berry; ex-wife: Geneva Hampton; sister-in-law: Vera Hampton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents: Johnie Lee Hampton and Frankie Mae Williams Spencer; two brothers: Johnny Lee Hampton Jr., and L. James Hampton; sister: Bonnie Spencer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635

Services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. James Temple COGIC, 719 Ashland Road, Ripley, MS  38663

Burial will take place at Saint Rest Cemetery, Highway 4 Ashland Road, Ripley, MS 38663
