Willie Deberry enjoyed fishing with friends and family. For over 30 years, Willie has built houses, businesses, and worked on several city projects throughout Mississippi. During Sunday game nights, you could find Willie cheering on his favorite team … The Dallas Cowboys!
What an honor to shine your light through a world full of darkness. An opportunity to show love, courage and perseverance through adversity seemed to be a daily mission of Mr. Deberry. Life of the party, a servant to all, are just a few expressions to describe the legacy of Willie Deberry. Who gives their last from a limited supply? Who smiles, while maintaining a broken heart, Willle Deberry did.
Willie was devoted to his family, while living for and through his two children of Oxford, Mississippi Tycarlous Deberry, D’Marius Deberry. They were and still remain his lifeline through grace.
He leaves behind his mother, Odessa Hughes, two sons, Tycarlous Deberry and D’Marius Deberry both of Oxford, MS, sisters, Ida M. Oliver (Carlton) of Potts Camp, MS, Diane Cowan (Cliff), Delphine Hughes both of Holly Springs, MS, and Mary Frances Hughes of Rocky Mountain, NC, brothers James Deberry (Rita), Robert Deberry (Janice) both of Holly Springs, MS, and Johnny Cannon of Jackson, MS, one granddaughter Mylah Deberry, the mother of his children, Teresa Coleman of Oxford, MS, his dog Queen, cousins, friends , and special neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Edwards.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Home 140 North Memphis Street, Holly Springs, MS 38635
