Mr. Willie Ed Brownlee, 78, transitioned on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Union County Health and Rehab, in New Albany, MS.

Our dearest brother in Christ, Mr. Willie Edd Brownlee, was called to his heavenly home on September 7, 2023, peacefully in his sleep. Willie was born on August 9, 1945, to Rush and Mary Brownlee. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh/Halls Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where he remained a faithful member. He was a graduate of B.F. Ford High School class of 1964. Willie Ed was a United States Army Veteran who saw combat action in Viet Nam.
Mr. Willie Edd was united in marriage to Eddie Mae. They remained together, faithfully for 54 years. Together they shared 2 daughters and a son. His greatest joys and fulfillment in life was serving God and his family. He was employed at Delta International for over forty years. His hobbies included singing, gardening, and playing the guitar. Mr. Brownlee served in numerous capacities. He was a husband, father, grand father, son, brother, and dedicated church member and leader. Through his years and service in Christ, he served as a teacher, deacon, usher, choir member, and loving faithful husband.
He was preceded in death by her father; Rush Brownlee, and mother; Mary Brownlee sister; Mattie Golden, brother; Joe Brownlee, son; William Floyd; wife Eddie Mae Brownlee
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters; Ruby Floyd Watkins, Cessily White (Kedzie), granddaughter; Alexsis Watkins, grandsons; Armonte Watkins, Kedzie White Jr., Cameron White, his siblings; Lonnie Brownlee (Marie), Louise Barker, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Viewing will be on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., Service will be at 2:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS 38652
Burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery, 1317 County Road 108, New Albany, MS 38652
