Walter Jones

Mr. Walter Jones, 75, transitioned on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born on July 25, 1945 in Oxford, MS, to the late Casey Jones and the late Mrs. Girtrude Young. He loved the great outdoors and loved to explore the nature. His hobbies were; gardening, yard work, painting and building on things with his cousin; C.W. Young. He also loved spending quality time with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his sisters: Minnie (Harold) Cooper of Abbeville, MS and Bessie (Avery) Dunn of Oxford, MS. A brother: Gordon (Patricia) Jones of Des Moines, Iowa. A God-Sister: Jospehine (Wilma) Wells of Oxford, MS. A brother-in-law: Willie Dennis of Abbeville, MS. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11a.m. at Liberty Cemetery in Abbeville, MS. Serenity Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 frm 4-6p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford.
