Ms. Trumina Anderson, 44, transitioned on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Methodist Germantown Hospital.
Trumina Andrea Anderson with all of the following A.K.A.’s Mina, Cake, Mina Bina, Min, Fat Head, and Min Baby was born September 23, 1981, in Chicago, IL. Her journey in life was shaped by unique challenges, but those challenges became triumphs that altered all understanding of perseverance and compassion. Mina’s challenges not only impacted her own life but also enriched the lives of everyone around her. In her circle, the lessons taught by her were acceptance, the beauty of differences, and the challenge of living authentically and daring to accomplish “CAN’T.”
Born to Truman Anderson and Barbara Hebron Anderson in Chicago, IL, Trumina received her first religious journey at True Believers in Chicago, IL and after moving to Memphis, TN, she enjoyed Brown Missionary Baptist Church. In her educational pursuit she attended Burnside Elementary in Chicago, IL, and Kingsbury Jr. High in Memphis, TN. She also received her high school certificate from Germantown High School in Germantown, TN. Mina loved people, music, dancing, television (Deal or No Deal), anything potato based, and everything Chicago.
Trumina was precedent in death by her father, Truman Anderson, two brothers, Dion Holland and James Holland, maternal grandparents, Richard and Corrine Hebron, paternal grandparents, Emma Anderson and Julius Johnson, three aunts, Annette, Ella, and Minnie Anderson, three uncles, Richard Hebron, Jr., Hercules Anderson, and David Anderson, and nephew, Malik Holland.
Trumina leaves in her remembrance her devoted mother, Barbara Hebron Anderson, and her best friend and sister, Jillian Nicole Anderson, both of Memphis, TN, seven uncles, Louis Anderson (Deborah), Willie Anderson (Jeanette) both of Chicago, IL, Arthur Hebron (Brenda), Henry Hebron (Janice), George Hebron (Jennie), Kenneth Hicks (Tina) all of Memphis, TN, and Barry Townsend (Melba) of Desoto, TX, four aunts, Mary Elaine Jefferson (Wayne) of Germantown, TN, Elores “Tina” Hicks (Kenneth) of Memphis, TN, Melba Townsend (Barry) of Desoto, TX, and Renitta Holsey of Clarksdale, MS, brother-in-law, Willie Watkins of Collierville, TN, three nephews, Malcolm Holland (Fabi) of Burbank, IL, Antoine Holland of Memphis, TN, and Elijah Holland of Burbank, IL, five nieces, Kaylah Stewart, Dionna Tilman, Saveah Stewart, D’Niyah Tilman all of Memphis, TN, and Laylah Holland of Burbank, IL, special cousins, Ricardo Hebron (Chandra) of Memphis, TN and Kenneth Hicks, Jr. (Kashondra) of Bartlett, TN, godparents, Hirley and Shirley Nash of Evergreen Park, IL, honorary aunts, Alice Faye and Crystal Barbee of Chicago, IL,
Everyone was special to Mina. This would include her Anderson, Burnett, and Hebron cousins of Chicago, IL, the Hicks and Hebron cousins of Memphis, TN, with the Townsend cousins of Desoto, TX as well as a host of cousins from Canton, MS.
Services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Missionary Baptist Church, 980 Stateline Road E., Southaven, MS 38671.
Body will lie in state one hour before service time.
Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
