Steven B. Foster, 62, transitioned on Friday, January 2, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

Steven Bradley Foster, 62, departed this life January 2, 2026. Steven was born in New Albany, MS, November 30, 1963 to Mary V. Foster Hardin. His charismatic and witty, outgoing personalty touched the hearts of family and friends and all who had the opportunity to know him. 

In his youth, he enjoyed playing football and into his adulthood, he had a love for working on cars, He was a well-known and well liked mechanic in the Aurora, IL area. He acquired many life-long friends along the way.

In 1995, Steven joined Christ Evangelistic Temple in Aurora, IL pastored by Rev. Kenneth Foster.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Reverend Howard and Ada Foster.

Steven leaves to cherish his memory four children; Latisha (Shaffer) Wilson  and Steven (Kim) Foster, II both of Milwaukee, WI, Zachariah Foster and Leviathon Foster both of Plano, IL, his forever devoted mother; Mary V. Foster Hardin of New Albany, MS, two sisters; Marilyn Hardin of New Albany, MS and Cynthia Garcia of Rockford, IL, several grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many many friends who will always love and miss him dearly.

Steven's memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and that loved him. May he rest in peace.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., at Holy Tempe Church of God, 1107 Moss Hill Drive, New Albany, MS  38652.

Body will lie in state one hour before service time. 

Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, New Albany, MS.
