Stephan Perry "Steph" Robinson, 51, transitioned on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS.
Stephan Perry Robinson “Steph” was born on March 9, 1971, the second son of the four children born to the union of the late Ardrey D. Robinson and Daisy M. Williams. He accepted Christ in his early years and was a member of Zion Chapel M.B. Church.
Steph was a high school graduate who was trained in welding. He was employed at various funeral homes. His last work experience was with Serenity Funeral Homes of North Mississippi.
He was united in holy matrimony to the late Jaqueline Howell Robinson. To this union one son, Chance J. Robinson, was born.
On January 1, 2023, Steph heard the voice of his Lord saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” He peacefully answered the call at his home surrounded by his family.
Stephan was preceded in death by his father, Ardrey D. Robinson; his maternal grandparents, David Westbrook and Eva Mae Williams, his paternal grandparents, Roy and Thelma Robinson, two maternal aunts, Irrussell Williams-Edwards and Ophelia Williams; a paternal aunt, Gail Robinson-Haynes; and two brothers, Greg Robinson and Scotty Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memory six (6) sons: Chance Robinson, Cordale Cook, Montrell Pegues, New Albany, MS; Mario Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Christopher Scott, Milwaukee, WI; eight daughters: Destiny Knox-Lee, Kenya Mosley, T’airra Ferrell, New Albany, MS; Myesha Ferguson, Casshondra Robinson, Seville (Myron) Rimmer, Nichelle Robinson, Milwaukee, WI; Asia Knox, Dallas, TX; his mother, Daisy (Lawrence) Hill; eight (8) brothers: Anthony (Regina) Robinson); Gregory N. Robinson, New Albany, MS; Ronnie (Yvette) Robinson, Dallas, TX; Carlos (Sandy ) Hill, Jerome (Wendy) Hill, Beloit, WI; Darnell (Sarah) Hill, El Paso, TX; and Anthony (Michelle) Hill, Hurst TX; two (2) sisters: Tragelia (Sean) Tatum, Milwaukee, WI; Latesha Jackson, New Albany, MS; his mother-in-law, Shirley Howell of New Albany, MS. two aunts: Brenda (Danny) Swanigan, Marvell, AR; Carolyn (Myrna) Williams, Lewisville, TX; two uncles: Clifton (Mary Ann), Larry Edwards, Marvell, AR. He also leaves 23 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS.
Service will be on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., at New Birth Community Church, 614 Glade Street, New Albany, MS.
Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, 816 Forest Heights, New Albany, MS.
