Shirley Ann Pigues, 75, of Byhalia, MS, transitioned on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Shirley Pigues, born April 13, 1949, to the late Robert Pigues and Katie Mae Miller Pigues in Byhalia, MS.  Shirley was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. Shirley's life was a testament to faith, service, and love, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew her.

Shirley accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 12 and became a devoted member of New Zion Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a Church Mother. Her strong faith was a foundation for all aspects of her life, guiding her through challenges and inspiring all who came into contact with her.

For many years, Shirley worked as a skilled and caring hairdresser, touching the lives of countless clients. In addition, she served as a school bus driver, where she was known for her kindness, patience, and dedication to the children she transported. Shirley's work was not just a job but a calling, and she gave of herself selflessly, always with a smile and a kind word.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Pigues and Katie Mae Miller Pigues; two brothers: Lee Pigues and Robert Pigues Jr.; and one sister: Ozelia Pigues.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Bryant Bobo (Doris) of Olive Branch, MS, and Reginald Bobo (Rosalyn) of Memphis, TN; one special grandson: Brydetric Richmond of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren: Qwanosha Bobo of Memphis, TN, Shelisa Bobo, Kaelin Bobo McClure (LaRandis), Bryant Jaedin Bobo all of Olive Branch, MS, and Quenita Taylor of Atlanta, GA; four brothers: Cleveland Pigues of Coldwater, MS, Eddie Pigues of Byhalia, MS, Louis Pigues of Olive Branch, MS, and Esrom Pigues (Carolyn) of Memphis, TN; six loving sisters: Mary Bolton of Holly Springs, MS, Ivory Jones (Willie), Lottie Richmond (Orlando) both of Byhalia, MS, Edna Pigues, Louise Pigues, and Emma Pigues all of Olive Branch, MS; She also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends who will miss her deeply. Special friends: Flora Waters of Chicago, IL, Gertrude Freeman of Milwaukee, WI, and Delorase Woods of Memphis, TN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635

Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke Church of God in Christ, 7491 Hacks Cross Road, Olive Branch, MS  38654.

Burial will take place at Miller Cemetery, Olive Branch, MS
