My Life

I was born Shirley Denise McKinney on April 30, 1967, to the late Charles McKinney and Lucilla McKinney. I received Christ an early age and joined Strawberry Missionary Baptist Church. I graduated from Holly Springs High School, the class of 1986. I worked for ICS Headstart for ten years as a bus monitor. I was called to my heavenly home on Wednesday June 4, 2025. Because of my fun-loving personality, I left this life with many fun memories.

My Family

I leave to cherish my memories: my daughter, Jasmine Harris of Holly Springs, MS and Jalisa Harris, who preceded me in death; my siblings: Deborah Williamson of Holly Springs, MS, Johnathan McKinney (Shante) Baldwin, MS, Jacqueline McKinney (Hamar) of Red Banks, MS, Stephanie Turnage of Holly Springs, MS, Stacie Turnage of Holly Springs, MS, Kimberly Crawford of Memphis, TN, Shun Moore who preceded me in death. I also leave a legacy of five beautiful grandchildren, Jaylen Nunally. Adah Nunally, Jayce Nunally, Aubree Nunally and Kaleb Harris all of Holly Springs, MS, and one special friend, Rodney Jeffries, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and through it all I proclaim:

“The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace"    Psalms 29:11

Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., and Service will be at 10:00 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N.  Memphis Street, Holly Springs, MS  38635
