Sheran Brown Obituary

Sheran L. Brown, 56, transitioned on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN.

With hearts overflowing with love, gratitude, and deep reverence, we celebrate the remarkable life of Sheran Lynn Brown, a woman whose spirit lit up every room and whose presence transformed every gathering into a moment of joy. Born on June 24, 1969, in New Albany, Mississippi, she grew up attending Golden Gate Church pastored by Robert Lee Hamilton, where she first formed her strong foundation in Christ and cultivated her lifelong love for The Lord.

For nearly 42 years, she shared an unbreakable bond with the love of her life, her husband and best friend, Clifford “Doochie” Brown. The two were married for 40 beautiful years, celebrating their union on July 22, 1985. Their love was a steady, unwavering example of partnership, friendship, and devotion—one that shaped their home and blessed everyone around them in sickness and in health until death did them part.

Their union brought forth three children who adored her endlessly daughters Shay (Hunter Park) Brown-Park, Shaundra (Justin) Martin of Olive Branch, MS and her son, Shaud Brown of Tampa, Florida. She was also the proud and doting grandmother of her two precious grandchildren, Lucas “Deuce” Brown and Autumn “Autti Bug” Martin, both of whom she cherished deeply and attended every activity, recital, game, and moment she possibly could. Nothing brought her more joy than cheering on her grandbabies even as her health began to decline. She still remained committed to seeing her babies.

She was a 1987 graduate of Hickory Flat High School and went on to dedicate more than 35 years to the restaurant and hospitality industry, serving with passion and pride through her roles with West Quality Foods (Holly Springs, MS) and JRN (Terre Haute, IN) and brief but wonderful stint with the Holly Springs School District serving as a Cafeteria Manager at Holly Springs High School. She was known across every counter, every kitchen, and every drive-thru window for her warm smile, her big energy, and her unmatched customer service. To many, she wasn’t just a colleague, boss or employer—she was the heartbeat of the workplace.

Affectionately known as “The Lemonade Lady,” she handcrafted flavored lemonades that became the highlight of festivals, events, and community gatherings. She loved people—and people loved her right back. Her ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and special was her God-given gift.

She was the fifth of nine children (plus one bonus sister) born to the late Luther and Annie Mae Jones. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her special mother (friend); Beverly McDonald, aunts, uncles, nephews Jalen Scales and Mikael Garrett, and her beloved earthly parents. She leaves behind a fiercely loving family including her husband, children, grandchildren, and tightly knit bunch of siblings who will forever cherish her: Sigma, Charles (Wayne), Audrey (Vicky), Sherhonda, Fran, Calandra, Kamal, Kim, Kela, and her bonus sister. She also leaves two goddaughters, Bobbie Jo Robinson and Tasha Martin, and a special granddaughter, Destiny Martin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who loved her wholeheartedly.

She lived life out loud—full of excitement, always planning parties, organizing family gatherings, and doing whatever she could to bring people together. Holidays were her Super Bowl; she loved giving, blessing people, and yes, overspending just to make someone smile. She had a helping nature that never quit. If someone was in need, she was already on her way.

Above all, she loved God. She was baptized In Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost—speaking in tongues—at Greater Victory Temple in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1994 where she also sang in the choir. Her walk with Christ was not something she hid; it was something she lived. She encouraged her children, her family, and everyone she met to build a relationship with God and to be saved. Her faith was not in question—she walked boldly in it.

Her hobbies were wrapped in the people she loved: attending her grandchildren’s events, going out to dinner with her husband, supporting her children’s businesses like a full-time hype woman, bragging about her family to anyone who would listen, and showing up for others—friends, neighbors, and even strangers. She was truly loved by all.

She taught her children the importance of sticking together, loving people through the good and the bad (but especially the good), and keeping family first. She embraced her sons-in-law with the same warmth and pride she gave her own children.

On November 18, 2025, this sanctified and saved woman of God completed her earthly assignment. Without a doubt, she entered Heaven’s gates with The Lord’s arms stretched wide, saying, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” She believed wholeheartedly that to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord, and she lived every day preparing for that promise.

Her energy, her laughter, her fight, her generosity, her spirit—none of it will ever be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, service, and joy that will continue to uplift everyone blessed enough to have known her.

Her life was a testimony. Her love was a ministry. And her memory is a gift we will carry for the rest of our days. She was loved beyond this life. We will love you, hold your words close to our hearts, and miss you all the days of our lives.

Well done, Lemonade Lady. You made it! You are now resting safely in His arms!
