Shelia Frazier Hampton, 60, transitioned on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS.

Shelia Frazier Hampton, 60, passed away peacefully May 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and devotion to family. She was born June 13, 1964, to the late Roscoe Frazier and Mary Ann Crayton Frazier in New Albany, MS, and confessed her love for Christ at an early age carrying her faith throughout her life.

She was a dedicated and compassionate health care worker serving for 21 years in the Labor and Delivery Department at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of countless families during some of their most precious moments.

She was united in marriage to James Hampton and together they tried to build the perfect family. Shelia was a devoted mother to Tracey Frazier, Cecily Frazier and Edward Hampton. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her "NINE" grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.

Shelia had a passion for cooking and baking, always filling her home with warm aromas of love and tradition. She also found great joy in reading her Bible, often immersing herself in it that inspired her and deepened her understanding of life and faith.

Shelia leaves to cherish her memories her husband; James Hampton of Ashland, MS, her children; Tracey Frazier and Cecily Frazier and Edward Hampton all of New Albany, MS, nine grandchildren,  her loving mother; Mary Ann Frazier of New Albany, MS, one brother; Roscoe Frazier, Jr., two sisters; Melissa Frazier and Cassandra Frazier both of New Albany, MS, two special aunts; Betty Ann White of Chicago, IL and Ella Anderson of Memphis, TN, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father; Roscoe Frazier, her grandmothers; Virginia Crayton and Myrtle Frazier.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS  38652.

Services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at  First Non-Denominational Church, 1102 Bratton Road, New Albany, MS  38652.

Body will lie in state one hour before service time.

Burial will take place at Union Grove M.B. Church Cemetery, 634 County Road 75, New Albany, MS  38652.
