Ruth Gatling

Ms. Ruth Gatling, 90, of New Albany, MS, departed this life on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was formerly from Youngstown, Ohio.

Ms. Gatling was born May 22, 1932 in Ripley, MS to Sam and Norah Biggs Leatherwood. Ruth enjoyed fellowshiping with family and friends, reading her Bible, watching basketball and football and playing cards.

She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.

Ms. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Ruby Vance, sister, Jenny Banks, three brothers, Robert, Charlie and Samuel Leatherwood.

Viewing will take at 10:00 a.m., and Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive,  New Albany, MS.

Burial will take place at Adkins Chapel United Methodist Church, 7321 County Road 700, Blue Mountain, MS  38610.
