Russell Polk

Mr. Russell Polk, 62, transitioned on Friday, July 24, 2020 at his store in Water Valley, MS. 

On August 21,1957 Russell Lee Polk was born and had the fortune of being parented by Sudie Mae and Willie Wilson Polk. Both parents preceded him in death. Russell accepted Christ at an early age and united with Bayson Chapel Church until his death.

Russell was well known in the community. He attended Water Valley High School and graduated in 1976. Later, Russell became interested in the furniture business and worked in this industry for over 30 years, Russell departed his life at his business known as “The Furniture Store” on Friday, July 24,2020.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Travis Turner-Polk of Memphis, TN, two daughters, Latunda Kinsler (Dekevious) of Memphis TN, Jasmine Polk of Water Valley, MS four sisters: Mary Ann Henderson (Charles), Geneva Clark (Ollie) of Water Valley MS, Carri Keller, Mae Catherine Mckinney of Southaven MS; two brothers: Willie C. Polk (Jackie) of Detroit MI and Lee Edward Polk (Hattie) of Water Valley MS, one sister preceded him in death Bernice Clark, 4 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and special friends.

Graveside Services will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Bayson Chapel Church Cemetery in Water Valley. Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of the arrangements.

Walk-Through Visitation will be on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 6:00p.m., until 7:00p.m. at Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in Water Valley.
