Roy Powell transitioned from this life on January 12, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born on May 2, 1957 to the late Amos Powell and Ethelener Powell in Marshall County, Mississippi.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents: Amos and Ethelener Powell, three brothers: Casey Powell, Charles Powell and Amos Powell, his grandmother, Alberta McNeil, a niece, Sharon Powell Davis and uncle, Willie Sharp.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters: Carrie Sharp of Holly Springs, MS, and Jerlean Holt of Memphis, TN, four brothers: Leon Powell, James Powell, Willie Powell of Holly Springs, MS, Issac (Rosie) Powell of Memphis, TN, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Walk-through Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS
Graveside Service will be Friday, January 21, 2022, 12:00 Noon, Cottrell Memorial Garden, Holly Springs, MS.
