Roy E. Brownlee

Mr. Roy E. Brownlee, 76, transitioned on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS.

Roy Edward Brownlee was born April 4, 1949 in Union County, MS to the late Annie Judon of Pontotoc, MS and Willie Brownlee of New Albany, MS. Roy departed this world on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County surrounded by his loved ones.

He enjoyed his family. He was one of a kind who liked to play cards, gamble and  just have a good time. Something he would say was "someone call 911!" Roy worked at the Cotton Gin and Union County Compress for years.

Those left to cherish his memories include five daughters: Alisha, Tameka, Renea, Barbara Ann and Kila, four sons: Anton, Dennis, Junior and Chamara, three sisters Barbara, Juanita, Lillie and two brothers: Joseph and Troy, thirty-eight grandchildren many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; George and Jerry.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS  38652.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Love Praise Tabernacle Holiness Church, 618 First St.,  New Albany, MS  38652.
