Mrs. Rosie Moore, 68, transitioned on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
MS. ROSIE NELL FOLSON MOORE was born July 17, 1952, in Water Valley, MS, to Vera Mae Polk and the late Clement Hervey. ROSIE confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pleasant Green M.B. Church. She graduated from Davidson High School in 1970.
ROSIE departed her life on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
ROSIE was employed at Borg Warner for 39 ½ years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends; she enjoyed making people laugh.
ROSIE was preceded in death by her grandson, Ethan Buckley; one sister, Luren Phillips, one brother, Lewis Folson.
In her homegoing, NELL leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Vera Mae Polk of Water Valley, MS; one son, Tracy Moore of Robersonville, MS; three daughters, Shelia (Sherman) Gooch, Okesha (Mike) Moore, Latasha (Chico) Buckley all of Water Valley, MS; six grandchildren, Moquinada (Jonathan) Moya, Ky’Juan Hervey, Sasha Buckley, Landon Buckley all of Water Valley, MS, Amunique Moore, Aldarrio Alexander of Jackson, MS; two great grandchildren, Adalyn Bobo and Ensley Sprouse of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Lottie Phillips of Water Valley, MS, and Eva (Danny) Avant of Serai Vista, AZ; two brothers, Charles (Mary) Henderson, Billy Ray Phillips all of Water Valley, MS; one step-brother, Earl (Annette) Daniels of Water Valley, MS; two god-children, Felica Devault and Jeremiah Harris of Water Valley, MS; special friends, Josephaine Martin, Diane Luster, Cheronda McGee, Gail Cooper, Alice Henderson, Gail Daniels, and Rita Harris; two special cousins, Roy Lee Phillips and Kimberly Ingram, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 12 Noon at Spring Hill North M.B. Church in Water Valley. Burial will take place at Pleasant Green M.B. Church Cemetery in Water Valley. Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 3-6p.m., at Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel.
