Mr. Roosevelt “Bone Head” Hardaway, 78, gained his wings, on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 12:24 pm at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS

Roosevelt “Bone Head” Hardaway, was born August 28, 1942 in Byhalia, MS to the late Joe and Ardelia Hardaway.

Roosevelt “Bone Head” Hardaway, loved softball; he coached the Victoria Braves for over 40 years. 

Roosevelt “Bone Head” Hardaway,” was married to Carolyn Jean Jefferson Hardaway until his death for 27 years.

Roosevelt “Bone Head” Hardaway, is survived by his wife Carolyn Jean Jefferson Hardaway; four sons,  Alvin (Sherry) Hardaway and  Bradrick (Carlene) Hardaway of Victoria, MS; Roosevelt (Arlexka) Hardaway Jr. of Memphis, TN; Darren (Shankeitha) Hardaway of Olive Branch, MS; two daughters,  Sherry (Johnny) Jones of Victoria, MS; Mary (David) Smith of Red Banks, MS; one bother, Tommy (Sadie) Hardaway of Victoria, MS; one sister, Ada Wilkins of Byhalia, MS;  four brothers-in-law; Sesley (Lois) Jefferson and Vince E. Jefferson of Red Banks, MS; Wayne R. Jefferson of Byhalia, MS; Willie L. Jefferson of Holly Springs, MS; three sisters-in-law, Gail Scales of Red Banks, MS, Alexus Jefferson of Holly Springs, MS and Stephanie Blake of Olive Branch, MS; a special family friend, Jerry Brunson; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by Alma Ree Hardaway, Rosie Lee Tennial, Bernice Woods, Earline Wicks, Felix Hardaway, Frankie Bulter, Joe Dudley Hardaway and Willie Mae Wiggley.

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 4-7p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Hearn Grove Church Cemetery in Byhalia, MS. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
