Robert Rucker, Sr., 65, transitioned on Sunday, January 16, 2022, in Holly Springs, MS.

Today we come to celebrate the life ROBERT RUCKER, SR. Who was born to parents of the late J.D. (Bot) Rucker and Ruthie Jefferson Rucker on December 4, 1956, in Marshall County, Mississippi.

ROB, as everyone called him, was the baby boy of the family. Growing up he was spoiled by our cousin Amelia or ‘cuttin medabelle’.  As a child he loved milk; you couldn’t keep any while he was around, and he would cry if you were out. He was a lover of milk until the end. He attended CADET School.

ROBERT  was a jack of all trades; a mechanic, a plumber, an electrician; he could do anything he set his mind to.  He loved to cook, go fishing, traveling, hanging out with  family and friends.

ROBERT was united in marriage to Patricia Payne Rucker,  and to this union three children were born.

ROBERT is survived by his wife, Patricia Rucker  of Oxford, MS; two sons, Robert Rucker, Jr. of Oxford, MS, Patrick Rucker of Houston, TX, and a daughter,  Jasmine Rucker of Oxford, MS; two granddaughters, Camayaih and Zakayaih Jones, Southaven, MS; siblings, Christine Rucker, Mamie Allen, J.D. (Cynthia) Rucker, Jr., Sarah Rogers, Dorothy R. Greer, and Kathyrn Rucker;  one uncle, Eddie Lee Jefferson, two aunts, Sara Bean and Dora Jefferson, a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will truly miss him.

ROB is proceeded in death by his parents, J.D. (Bot) Rucker and Ruthie J. Rucker, sister Emma J. Greer, brothers-in-law, George Rogers and Ike ‘IC’ Clifton Greer.

Walk-through Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Serenity-Autry Funeral Home, Holly Springs, MS.

Service will be Saturday, January 22, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel.
