Robert Lewis "Base" Dean

Mr. Robert Lewis "Base" Dean, 50, transitioned on Friday, January 1, 2021 in Aurora, IL. He was born May 24, 1970 in Holly Springs Mississippi to Ms. Lula Riddick & the late Uear Lee Dean. Robert attended elementary school at Galena in Chulahoma MS. He later graduated from Potts Camp High School.

Robert accepted Christ at a young age & joined Mt. Peel M.B Church in Holly Springs Mississippi. He later moved to Aurora, IL in 1989. When Robert arrived to Aurora he held several jobs. He stood side by side with his uncle opening a detail shop.

Robert was a friend to many. Whenever you saw him you saw a smile. He was a loveable son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew & friend.

Robert Lewis “Base” Dean leaves to cherish his memories his mother Lula B Riddick of Aurora, IL; three daughters Mariah West of Aurora, IL, LaDeja (Louis) Dean of Rockford, IL, & Trinity Dean of Aurora, IL; One brother, Calvin Dean of Knoxville, TN; One grandson Jayden West of Aurora, IL; Six nieces, Laporshea Malone, Breianna Jones, Kiyanna Rodgers, Zzania Dawkins, Nevaeh Dean, Nahayla Dean and one nephew, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.Robert also leaves to cherish his memories his longtime bestfriend Alvis “Bo” Battle & special friend Regina Keys.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Chakira Dean, his father Uear Lee Dean, both maternal & paternal grandparents, & special uncle James Mack “Dog Pound” Mitchell.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 12 Noon at Mt. Peel M.B. Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4-7p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.
