Nickey "Tricky" Tuggles

Nickey "Tricky" Tuggles, 62, of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Holly Springs Health & Rehabilitation.

Nickey “Tricky” Tuggles, was born on October 15, 1961, to the late Henry Tuggles and Mertilie Clark Tuggles, in Marshall County, MS.  He was next to the youngest of fourteen children.  There was nothing he wouldn’t do to help others. On Friday, November 10, 2023, he went to his heavenly home.

He attended Galena and graduated from Byhalia High School. He later received a scholarship in basketball from Memphis State College and then graduated from Trucking School.  He worked for Nelson Construction for many years. He loved to play softball, especially with his group Maddogs.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter Paulinia Miller of Olive Branch, MS; two sons Nykko Edwards of Memphis, TN and Quintin Moore of Olive Branch, MS; eight brothers: Henry Tuggles (Laura)  of Batavia, IL, Harry Tuggles (Lisa) of Joliet, IL, James Lee Tuggles,  Felix Tuggles, Larry Tuggles all of Aurora, IL, Louis Tuggles of Memphis, TN, Kenneth Tuggles, and Joe Echols (Gracie) both of Holly Springs, MS; five sisters: Vera Prentiss of Aurora, IL, Lucindy McNeal (Huce) of Memphis, TN, Lizzie Moore (James) of Holly Springs, MS, Carolyn Tuggles of Aurora, IL, and Mona Griffin of Holly Springs, MS; three grandchildren: Jamia Martin, Ashton Winton both of Olive Branch, MS, and Solei Edwards of Memphis, TN; special nephew: Joseph Echols (Alice) of Olive Branch, MS;  and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Nickey was preceded in death by his loving parents, Henry Tuggles and Mertilie Clark Tuggles; one sister Dorothy Jones; three brothers: Joseph Tuggles, Donell Echols, and Walter Griffin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.,  at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 North Memphis, Street Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at  Chulahoma M.B. Church,  5509 Highway 4 West, Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
