Ms. Mary Etta Russell

Ms. Mary Etta Russell, 71, transitioned on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at her residence in Holly Springs, MS.

Mary Etta loved reading her Bible, and spending time with her family.

Mary Etta is survived by her daughter, Vicki Smith of Mt. Pleasant, MS; son Mark Lax (Michelle) of Red Banks, MS; five grandsons, Joseph Smith (Ashley), Will Lax,  Nicholas (Destiny), Eric Lax, Ethan Lax; two granddaughters, Jennifer Roberts (Mark), Abby Lax; three great granddaughters, Brooklynn, Bella and Oaklynn; her mother, three sisters, four brothers and many extended family members.

Mary Etta is preceded in death by her father and two brothers.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 6, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St , Holly Springs, MS.

Services will be Friday, April 7, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Grace Chapel Assembly Church of God, 730 South Byhalia Road, Collierville, TN  38017.

Burial will take place at Carey Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery, 170 Carey Chapel Rd., Red Banks, MS 38661.
