Mrs. Pearlie J. Scruggs

Mrs. Pearlie J. Scruggs, 74, transitioned on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Mrs. Pearlie Jean Kimbrough Scruggs was born September 28, 1947, in Benton County, MS. to the late Clark and Laurice Kimbrough. 

She accepted Christ at an early age and later attended Hopewell #2 M. B. Church until her health failed.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jack Scruggs. From this union they were blessed with nine children.

She transitioned from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Pearlie leaves to cherish her memories four daughters Helen (Freddie) Hoyle, Linda, Wilma, and Sonja Scruggs all of Corinth, MS., three sons Danny (Retha) of Lamar MS., Charles Kimbrough, and James (Sheila) Scruggs of Memphis, TN. 

She also leaves four sisters: Verlean (Beauford) Thompson, Caroline Cogbill, Delois and Dorothy Kimbrough of Memphis, TN., five brothers- David, Ronald, Nathaniel, Lesley, and Stanley Kimbrough all of Memphis TN., twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-five great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her two daughters: Janice & Rita Scruggs, a great-grandson, Quency Scruggs, her two sisters Mary Evans and Margie J. Elsberry, and a brother James E. Kimbrough.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS.

Service will be Sunday, May 15, 2022, 12:00 Noon, Holly Springs Multi Purpose Building, Holly Springs, MS.

Burial will take place at Jeffries Cemetery, Lamar, MS.
