Mrs. Lena Mae Pearson

Mrs. Lena Mae Pearson, 81, transitioned on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Diversicare, in  Batesville, MS.

Lena Mae Pearson was born to the Late Stephen and Allean Pearson on March 16, 1941, in Etta, MS.  She confessed Jesus Christ at an early age at East St. Peter M. B. Church, Abbeville, MS, where she remained a faithful member until death.

She met and married her childhood sweetheart Archie Clyde Gillion Sr., and into this union six children were born: Jeanette (Wayne) Parham, Annie Clyde (Deceased) (Joe) Brown, Oxford, MS, John W. (Rae) Gillion, Dallas, TX, Min. Alice (Josh) Adams, Taylor, MS,  Archie Clyde (Deloris) Gillion Jr., Edwards, MS, Illean Driver, Plano, TX; upon the death of Archie Clyde Gillion Sr., she married L. V. Gordon, into this union one son was born, Thomas Eddie Gordon (Deceased) , goddaughter Cynthia Malone, Chulahoma, MS, step-son Archie Clyde (Ricky) Norphlet, Etta MS; she also leaves with sweet memories; three sisters, Katie W. Thompson, Abbeville, MS, Juerlean Pearson, Oxford, MS, Willean (Gene) Hill, St. Louis, IL; eight brothers; Sulton Pearson. Memphis, TN, Eddie (Bettie) Pearson, Oxford, MS, James (Kathy) Pearson, Oxford, MS, Wesley Pearson, Holly Springs, MS, William (Lola) Pearson, Abbeville, MS, Willie (Aleta) Pearson, Warren, AK, John (Zerlene) Pearson, Memphis, TN, Robert Pearson, Memphis, TN; she leaves as a branch of her memories 13 grandchildren, and leaves of the branches 9 great grandchildren, she leaves in precious memories a host of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2022, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Serenity-Burney Funeral Home, Oxford, MS.

Service will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, 11:00 a.m., TOMB Building, Oxford, MS.

Burial will take place at East St. Peter Church, Oxford, MS.
