Mrs. Earnest Mae Campbell

Mrs. Earnest Mae Campbell, 68, transitioned on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Baptist Hospital, Oxford, MS.

Earnest Mae Malone Campbell, “PUNK,” was the daughter of the late Katherine Malone Patton and the late John Howard Goolsby. She was born on December 10, 1953 in Abbeville, Mississippi.

 At an early age Earnest accepted Christ into her life at Jeffrie Chapel M.B. Church. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. 
Earnest spent her life taking care of her family. She loved to care for children in her immediate and extended family. She was a volunteer at ICS headstart for 10 years. 
She was married to the late Alfred Campbell on August 25th 1978. Her favorite things to do were  cooking, tending to her home garden, looking after stray animals, and making others laugh. 
Cherished memories are left with her grandchildren: Kaporsha Alexander, Ivory Alexander, Dionte Alexander, Olga Sardinas and Steve Bogard, 13 great grandchildren, her sister Jimmie Smith, and a special friend "Piston"

She was proceeded in death by her husband: Alfred Campbell, her daughter, Kathleen Malone Tyson, and her grandson Christopher Antonio Malone. 

Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2022 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Serenity-Burney Funeral Home Chapel, Oxford, MS.

Service will be Saturday, January 15, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at Serenity. Burney Funeral Home Chapel, Oxford, MS.

Burial in Jeffries Chapel M.B. Church Cemetery, Abbeville, MS.
