Mrs, Cassandra McAlister McIntosh, 53, transitioned on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.
On July 14, 1971, Cassandra Joy McAlister McIntosh (also known as "Sandy"), was born at Baptist Memorial-Union County Hospital to Mattie Mary and John Henry McAlister. To know her was to know a strong, brave, loving, God-fearing Queen. She departed this life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Love Praise Tabernacle Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Jeffie Smith and Pastor Patricia Smith. Cassandra was educated in the Tippah County School system where she graduated from Blue Mountain High School. She later attended Foster's Cosmotology College and obtained an Associates Degree. Her enthusiasm and passion rested in the Culinary Arts (Food Service).
To cherish her memories, she leaves her husband; Guy Rowland McIntosh, three daughters; Shekila McAlister, Quaquita McAlister, Briana McAlister and one son; Nicholas McAlister, ten grandchildren; Destyni David, Madison McAlister, De'Angelo Simmons, Jeremiah McAlister, Kourtney McAlister, Patrick Johnson, Maddie Johnson, Kylan Johnson, Xavier Simmons, Aaliyah Simmons, three sisters: Liz McAlister Davis, Mary McAlister, Jacqueline Parker (Joseph) and two brothers; John McAlister, and Larry McAlister (Yolanda) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; Mattie McAlister and John Henry McAlister, brother; Rodney McAlister and nephew; Ricky Shamblin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS 38652.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Palestine M.B. Church, 690 County Road 830, Blue Mountain, MS 38610.
