Ms. Camilla M. Jackson Kennedy's - journey on this earth began November 8, 1930. She was an only child born to the late Levannah Jackson Brown and Joe Jackson, Sr.
A TIME TO KNOW CHRIST
Camilla accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age and built a foundation of faith through membership at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Como, Mississippi.
A TIME TO LOVE
Camilla loved and married the late Ernest "Dude" Kennedy, after graduating from Mississippi Industrial College, Holly Springs, MS. She became a member of Watson Grove Missionary Baptist Church in New Albany, MS.
A TIME TO WORK
Camilla was an Educator in the New Albany school system beginning her teaching career at Union County Training School (later B.F. Ford). She retired from teaching.
A TIME TO MOURN
Camilla leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Janice Kennedy Belle, one grandson, Errod K. Belle, two great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews and many friends and those who cared for her until her homegoing.
A TIME TO REMEMBER
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, God's plan for Camilla M. Jackson Kennedy was perfected. She made her journey through life on earth as the passed from this life at the age of 92 to be in God's presence forever.
Visitation will held on Monday, April 10, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS 38652.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Watson Grove M.B. Church, 521 Bankhead Street, New Albany, MS 38652
Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, 816 Forest Heights St., New Albany, MS 38652.
