Melvin  "Wade" Walker, 67, transitioned on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Melvin "Wade" Walker was born March 2, 1956 to Mr. Enoch and Mattie Walker, who preceded him in death.

He departed this life on April 11, 2023 at the University Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Wade served in the U. S. Army and was a retired Maintenance Technician.

A diligent family man who loved his children and supported them in every way possible. He enjoyed traveling, cooking out, visiting parks, fishing, building, and cleaning up his vehicles,

He will be forever remembered and loved by his 6 children: Jamie T. Kimmons, Rod Walker, Cynthia Walker, and Crystal Walker, all of Aurora, IL; Kristin Joiner (David) of New Albany, MS, and Ashley Walker of Holly Springs, MS. He also leaves his fiancée, Wanda Richmond and his special aunt, Pauline Robinson to cherish his love. Three brothers: Willie (Doug) Walker (Eloise), Milton Walker (Tosha), and Charles Walker, all of Holly Springs, MS. Three sisters: Lavern Kimmons (Raymond), Edna Childress, of Aurora, IL, and Easter Jackson (Rodell) of Holly Springs, MS; 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and family.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2023, 2:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00, at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will take place at Cottrell Memorial Gardens, 505 NW Boundary, Holly Springs, MS 38635.
