Michael Duanne Wesley Dodson was born on February 13, 1981, to Michael Dodson and Cheryl Acuff Vansuchtelen in Ripley, MS.  On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, he transitioned in an automobile accident in Memphis, TN.

Michael was employed as a cook at Neil’s Grille and Bar in Memphis, TN. He was an outgoing individual who enjoyed cooking, football, and being around his family and friends.

Michael leaves to cherish his loving memories: father: Michael Dodson (Mary Chadwell) of Flint, MI; mother: Cheryl Vansuchtelen of Byhalia, MS; one daughter: Auroa Joy Dodson of Memphis, TN;  one brother: Alfonso Gomez of Houston, TX; one sister: Delilah Dodson of Byhalia, MS; grandmother: Cathy Mohundro of Hickory Flat, MS; one aunt: Tammy Sanchez of Byhalia, MS; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving brother: Carl Gomez.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Byhalia, City Cemetery,  8399 MS 178, Byhalia, MS 38611
