Mrs. Mary Worship Hill

Mrs. Mary Worship Hill, 70, of New Albany, MS, transitioned on Monday, March 18, 2024, at her residence.

Mary C. Worship-Hill was born December 13, 1953 in Tippah County, Mississippi to the late Sam and Mattie Clemmer. She professed faith in Christ at an early age at Center of Faith Non- Denominational Church.

Mary attended B.F. Ford and W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany, MS. Upon her completion of school, she worked in healthcare, furniture industry and the food service industry. Mary loved to dance, hang out with her family/friends, playing cards and taking scenic car rides observing God’s beautiful artwork. She was a free spirited woman and didn’t mind telling you like it was.

Mary transitioned from labor to reward at her home in New Albany, MS on March 18, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Hill, her parents Sam/Mattie Clemmer, her siblings, Bobby Joe Clemmer, Effie “Sue” Clemmer-Cook, Henry Clemmer-Worship, Robert Clemmer- Worship, Sarah Clemmer-Worship, David Clemmer -Worship, J.P Clemmer Worship and William Clemmer-Worship,  two grandchildren; Jeremy A. Worship and Essie L. Worship.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory four children: Charlie Worship (Tiffanie), Crystal Worship and special friend and caregiver Cynthia Knox, Sammy Worship (Kizzy), Wanda Jane Edwards, Jamie Worship and Jimmie Sims, 13 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren, 8 bonus grandchildren, a dear friend; Willie Berry and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS  38652

Services will be held at New Birth Community Church,  614 Glade Avenue, New Albany, MS   38652

Burial will take place at Adkins Chapel Church Cemetery, 7321 County Road 700, Blue Mountain, MS  38610
