Marilyn Jones, 70, of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Oxford, MS.

Marilyn Jones was born on December 27, 1954, to the late Robert Britteman, Sr., and Leola Waller Britteman, in Marshall County, MS.

Marilyn confessed Christ at an early age at Concord M.B. Church.

Marilyn attended Sand Flat High School in Mt. Pleasant, MS. She loved cooking, watching her grandkids, watching TV, and listening to music.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories: husband Fred Jones of Holly Springs, MS; two sons: Jerry Jones (Shelia) of Holly Springs, MS and Stanley Jones (Karen) of Moscow, TN; three daughters: Felicia Jones, Angie Jones, both of Holly Springs, MS and Shelita Jones of Ashland, MS; one brother: Robert Britteman, Jr. (Chris) of Lamar, MS; one sister: Ivy Campbell of Lamar, MS;  twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving parents: Robert Britteman, Sr., and Leola Waller Britteman; two brothers: Francis Britteman and Eugene Britteman; two sisters: Dorothy Mull and Mary Jean Jones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Burial will take place at Hudsonville C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Lamar, MS.
