Mrs. Margaret Ezell Mosley, 72, transitioned on Thursday , October 19, 2023, at her residence in New Albany, MS.
Margaret Ezell Mosley was born February 28, 1951 to Louella and Jamieson Ezell in New Albany, MS. Margaret gained her wings on October 19, 2023 after a courageous and hard fought battle. With faith, she surrendered to the master's call to come home and be at rest. Margaret accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Watson Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of W. P. Daniel High School and a member of the combined B. F. Ford Class of 1970.
She pursued a career in Cosmetology at Nita's Beauty College. She graduated in 1982 and worked at Bradley Hair Center for many years before building her own shop (Margaret & Kim's). She worked in this profession for 35 years taking care of her customers hair care needs. She retired in 2023 due to her health.
Margaret met and married the love of her life Sam Ray Mosley. They were married 50 years. To this union three children were born. She was a very loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of fifty years; Sam Ray Mosley of New Albany, MS, four children Jaylon Mosley of TX, Kim Mosley and Jacqui Mosley and Brandon Mosley (special friend) Lovetta and children; Christopher, Takyerah and Tylandus) all of New Albany, MS, grandchildren; Kenya Mosley, Jaylon Mosley, Braylee Mosley, Javarius Mosley, Brandon Mosley, Jr., Jaleigha Mosley (Zenali, Zara) and Jasmine Mosley (Royce, Reese), three sisters; Deloris Foster (Howard), Janice Knox, and Brenda Ezell (Ashton, Landon) all of New Albany, MS, one sister-in-law; Mary Ezell of New Albany, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jamieson and Luella Ezell, sister; Shirley Pegues, brother; Jamieson Ezell, Jr., brother-in-law; Henry Knox, niece; Nina Ezell and close friends; Barbara Hardin Welch, Bettie Hardin and R.C. Smith.
Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laughs in times to come. Proverbs 31: 25
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, 2:30 p.m., Watson Grove M. B. Church, 521 E. Bankhead Street, New Albany, MS 38642.
Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, New Albany, MS.
