Mrs. Margaret Linda Humphrey was born February 13, 1951, in Holly Springs, MS, to the late John Gray and the late Linwood Hailey Gray. She transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Ashland Health & Rehab.

Margaret loved to color and spend time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons: Jackie Humphrey (Nancy Haygood) of Lamar, MS, Steven Humphrey of Olive Branch, MS; three daughters: Julie Hatter, Carolyn Watkins (Charles “Bud”) both of Olive Branch, MS, Martha “Susie” Saymon of New York: brother: Phil Gray of Lamar, MS; ten grandchildren: Taylor Humphrey, Josh & Brian Hatter, Adam & Scott Haygood, Anderson Watson, Brandon, Jimmy, Stephanie, & Katie Saymon, 13 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  John Gray, Linwood Hailey Gray; four brothers, John Alvis, Billy Gray, Bobby Gray, and James Gray; two sisters, Lucy Stone, and Maxine Roberson.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Clear Creek Baptist Church, 1704 Clear Creek Road, Lamar, MS  38642.

Services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Clear Creek Baptist Church, 1704 Clear Creek Rd, Lamar, MS  38642.

Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, 199 S. Market Street, Holly Springs, MS 38635
