Margaret Booker

Mrs. Margaret Booker, 72, transitioned on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

MARGARET Murray Booker was born to the late Debora Morgan and John Murray on April 13, 1948 in Water Valley, Mississippi.

MARGARET  was  united  in holy matrimony to Frederick Booker Taylor, Mississippi

MARGARET was a very private person,  with a genuine love for her family. She enjoyed cooking, talking on the phone with her siblings and spending time with her grandchildren.  She never forgot a birthday, you could always expect a call or card from her on that special day. 

Precious memories of MARGARET will be shared by her husband,  Frederick Booker of Oxford, MS; three sons, Anthony (Sandra) Murray of Etta, MS,  Kendrick Booker of Symrna, GA and Frederick Booker, Jr. of Taylor, MS; two sisters, Rosie Hilliard of Oxford, MS and Rena Quarles of Houston, TX; one brother, James Murray of Taylor, MS; eleven  grandchildren,  Porsha Buford of  Fort Worth, TX, Kristina Murray of Starkville, MS,  Lemeko Pirtle of Memphis, TN and Kendrick Booker Jr. of  St. Louis, MO,  Brandon  Booker of  Oxford, MS,  Kimberly Murray, Nicholas Murray, Jeremiah Murray and Jeremy Murray all of Etta, MS,  Antonio Carrothers and Miley Murray both of Oxford, MS; four great grandchildren, two  sisters–in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings. 

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12 Noon at Yocona Cemetery in Taylor, MS. Serenity Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 3-6p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home in Oxford.
