Mrs. Mable Laverne Owens Bell

Ms. Mable Laverne Owens Bell, 60, transitioned on March 19, 2023, at her residence, in Taylor, MS.

Mable Laverne Bell was born on April 17, 1962, in Taylor, MS, to Fronnie Phillips Owens and the late Mr. Garfield Owens, Sr. She was the second of five children. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at North Hopewell M.B. Church, where she remained a faithful and dedicated member until her transition.

Mable Bell received her education at Lafayette School District. She had a passion for decorating, pottery, jewelry, fashion, and a love of flowers. She started at the early age of 14, working at Oxford Floral Company perfecting her crafts. She loved her children and pushed them to achieve their goals.

Mable departed this life on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at her home in Taylor, MS. She was preceded in death by her father Garfield Owens, Sr.,  and her grandparents James and Addie Owens and Edgar and Everlean Phillips.

Mable leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life; her mother Fronnie Phillips Owens of Taylor, MS; her children Michael S. Bell and Allison Bell of Oxford, MS; three brothers: Jimmie Owens (Gracie), Garfield Owens, Jr. (Sonquanetta), and Clifford Owens all of Taylor, MS; her sister Annette Owens of Taylor, MS; Michael G. Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 294 Highway 7 North, Oxford, MS.

Services will held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at  North Hopewell M.B. Church, 11 County Road 349, Taylor, MS  38673.

Burial will take place at Yocona Cemetery, Taylor, MS.
