Leslie Marie Hubbard

On July 23, 1970, a beautiful soul was born, Leslie Marie Dermott Hubbard, in Lexington, KY, to Joyce McDermott Freeman of Lexington, KY.

Leslie graduated from Bryan Station High School and held an Associate of Science Degree from Spencerian School of Fashion Merchandising, in Louisville, KY.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age and continued following Christ when she relocated to the Memphis, TN area. After relocating to the Holly Springs, MS area, she and her husband became members of New Dimension Salt-n-Light Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Actavatis A. Allen.

God saw she was getting tired of the fight and gave her the wings to fly home. On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Baptist Desoto Hospital, in Southaven, MS, Leslie transitioned to be with the Lord; her famous words “I’m going to trust God, whichever way it goes”.

Leslie’s love for God, serving him faithfully in the women’s ministry, traveling, Cruising, Cooking and Home Décor were her passions. She was a dedicated and loyal employee to Baptist Women’s Health Center; she associated with Prophetic Healing scripture readings and formed a Sisterhood with the ladies at Baptist.

 Leslie united in Holy Matrimony to Milton Randy L. Hubbard in 2018, in Lexington, KY. To this union they were blessed to have three gentlemen sons: Dayton Hubbard and Dedrick Hubbard both of Memphis, TN, and Marlon Hubbard of Byhalia, MS.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Joyce Freeman; four sisters, Betty Smith of Houston, TX, Tammy Walker, Denise Tatum (Cecil) and Anita McDermott all of Lexington, KY; brother-n-law, Darryl F. Hubbard (Shandra) of Memphis, TN, with whom she had a special bond; grandbabies: Dakota Hubbard of Memphis, TN, Serenity Gibson of Cordova, TN, Carmen Gunter of Atlanta, GA; bonus daughters, Amber Tappin of Cordova, TN, Cara Gunter of Atlanta, GA; bonus nephew, Jaylun Butler of Memphis, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026, at New Dimension Salt & Light Ministries, 565 Neely Avenue, Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026, at New Dimension Salt & Light Ministries, 565 Neely Avenue, Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olive M.B. Church Cemetery, 2923 Highway 349, Potts Camp, MS  38659.
