Leon Jones

Mr. Leon Jones, 60, transitioned on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Baptist-East Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Mr. Leon Jones was born on August 3, 1960 to the late Robert Lee Jones, Sr. and the late Lillie B. Jones.  He accepted Christ and joined Mt. Zion Taska.

He was united in holy matrimony with Annie Jones on September 21, 1985.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife,  Annie Jones, four sons; LaDerrick Jones (Meagan) of Memphis, TN, Shun Jones (Lashaya) of New York, Deoundra and Christopher Jones both of Byhalia, MS; two sisters; Lillie Echols of Victoria, MS and Anna Jones (Tyrone) of Lamar, MS; six brothers; Willie Jones (Louella) and JMichael  Jones  (Tomekia) both of Lamar, MS, Jerry Jones (Tina), Cleo Jones (Debra), Clyde Jones and Robert Jones Jr. all of Memphis, TN; two sisters-in-law; Dianna Stephens (Andravus) and Patsy Jones both of Ripley, TN; two brothers-in-law; Buddy Hodge of Covington, TN and Jerry Jones of Somerville, TN; five grandchildren; Lakiriya, LaMiya, Parker, Karter, and Kennedy, two aunts; Jewel Palmer and Arlean Gorman, one uncle, Andrew Jones, a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

He was proceeded in death by seven brothers; Charles, Gendale, Walter, Delmon, Roger, George and Evone; one granddaughter, LaDerika Jones, and Mother-in-law, Ida Jones and Father-in-law, Joe Jones Jr.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1p.m., at Mt. Zion Taska M.B. Church in Byhalia. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4-7p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel.
