Lee Aron Berry

Lee Aron Berry was born on May 29, 1932 to the late Simp Berry and Birder Berry in Houlka, MS.  Lee departed this life peacefully on April 20, 2020 in his home.  He was a retired employee of Ark-Ell Springs in Houlka, MS.

He was a member of Thompson Chapel C.M.E. Church in Houlka, MS.  He was married to his lovely wife Ida Bell Berry for 68 years and to this union nine children were born.  He loved to sit under his special tree, raise his gardens, grow flowers, and to be around his family.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Ida Bell Berry of Houlka, MS, four sons; Lee Berry of Houlka, MS, Claywood Berry of Pheba, MS, Glenn (Walter Mae) Berry of Pontotoc, MS, Charles Berry of Houlka, MS, five daughters; Gracie Mae Terrell of Pontotoc, MS, Luray Holbrook of Grand Rapids, MI, Ruby (Troy) McAlister,  Florence Berry, Geneta  (William)  Johnson all of Houlka, MS, one sister-in-law; Lois Garrett of Pontotoc, MS, four brothers-in-law; Willie Van Pulliam, Melvin Pulliam, Leroy Pulliam and Charlie D. Pulliam all of Houlka, MS, 22 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, two special daughters-in-law, Ruby Berry of Okolona, MS and Lois Berry of Pontotoc, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Simp Berry and Birder Berry, siblings, Charles Berry, Bernice Berry, Leary Stewart, Essie Gordon, James Earl Berry, Grace Robinson, and a special daughter-in-law, Dolly Berry.
