Mrs. Laverne Hope Crutcher

Mrs. Laverne Crutcher, 64, transitioned on Monday, May 15,  2023, at Methodist University Hospital, in Memphis, TN.

Mrs. Laverne Hope Crutcher (Von) was born to Lorine Hope and the late Lester Hope, Sr., on March 29, 1959, in Marshall County MS.  She was a retiree of Emerson Electric of Oxford MS.

Our backbone, a good wife, a devoted daughter, a loving mother, giving grandmother, wonderful aunt, and a caring sister, who loved family. She would help and feed anybody. Her doors were always open. She will be truly missed by everyone...

Mr. Laverne accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. On  Monday, May 15, 2023, God whispered. Andrew reached down and took her to her heavenly home. On how they are rejoicing.

Von leaves to cherish her memories, a husband. Mr. Harry Crutcher, her mother Mrs. Lorine Hope; one daughter Tracy Hope (Fabian Williams); four sons Otis Hope (Maneka Newsom), Cedric (Dena) Hope,  Jimmy Hope (Darlene Gipson) and Anthony Hope (Ebony Freeman); one son (Andrew Hope) proceeded her in death;  four siblings Betty Myles, Willie Rean Smith, Lester  Hope Jr. and Bradley (Elvira) Hope; five proceeded  her in death, Larry Hope,  Gary Hope,  George Hope, Dorothy Jean Smith and Sally Dixon; three sister in laws, Lisa and Priscilla Jefferson, Jane Stinson; one brother in law Walter Jefferson,  special friends M-48 and card players; 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren with one (Markavion Hasberry) proceeded  her in death; a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends who will cherish her memories always and forever.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at New Dimension Salt & Light Ministries, 565 Neely Ave., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will take place at Mt. Moriah M.B. Church, 3193 Marianna Road, Holly Springs, 38635.
