Lashya Camille Williams, "Shy" "Shy Baby" 46, transitioned on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at her residence, in Belden, MS.

Lashya Camille Williams was born August 2, 1978, in Tupelo, MS, to Sonnie Williams and the late Brenda Pegues Williams. She departed this life Wednesday January 22, 2025, at her residence in Belden, MS.

Lashya accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Resident Church in Belden, MS, where she served as the announcement clerk. She was employed at Walmart as an associate in the Deli Department.

Lashya was a 1997 graduate of Pontotoc High School.  She attended Itawamba Community College, and graduated from Creations College of Cosmetology in Tupelo, MS. She loved getting her nails done, fashion, makeup, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lashya leaves to cherish her loving memories father: Sonnie Williams of Pontotoc, MS;  two daughters: Alayasia McCoy of Birmingham, AL and Alai Bogan of Belden, MS; loving companion: William “Will” Bogan of Belden, MS; two brothers: Christopher Jones of Chicago, IL and Antoni Shack of Pontotoc, MS; one sister: Takeshia Berry of Pontotoc, MS; five nephews: Armonte Townsend, Arderrius Townsend, Anndru Berry, Josiah Berry, and Cortavious Shelton; two nieces: Kawana Jones and Annsleigh Berry; special mom: Diane (Anthony) McCoy of Pontotoc, MS; mother-in-law: Veronica Bogan of Tupelo, MS; and a host of uncles and aunts: Betty Cherry, Antika White, Neal (Velma) Pegues, Justin Pegues, Marilyn Ray, Marilyn Pegues, Arnette (Teresa) Williams, Idell (Tommie Lee) Crump; cousins and friends who were more like brothers and sisters: Carlesa, Ashley, Cha, Melinda, Darren, Kerry, Mark, Tikyo, Raven, Whitney, Mary Kate, Nacosia, Lisa, Larry, Usheryll, Ranisha, and Tiara.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Brenda Pegues Williams; grandparents: Velma Williams, Vinson Williams, and Frances White; great grandmother: Marie Townsend; and two aunts: Doris Williams and Barnette Roberson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 11:00 a.m., and Service at 1:00 p.m., at Usher Valley United Methodist Church, 754 Moorman Road, Pontotoc, MS  38863

Burial will take place at Pontotoc City Cemetery, Pontotoc,  MS.
