Mrs. Kimberly Nicole Williams-Shipp “Kim” was born on August 10, 1977, to Curtis Luster and the late Meter Mae Rivers Curry in Memphis, TN. On Monday, March 17, 2025, she transitioned at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, MS.
Kim accepted Christ at an early age and was a member and usher at Prayer of Faith Outreach Ministry in Holly Springs, MS. She graduated from Melrose High School in Memphis, TN. She was employed as a caregiver for several years. She was a loving wife and sister, who had a passion for babysitting children. Kim also enjoyed shopping, cooking, and eating.
Kim leaves to cherish her loving memories: father: Curtis Luster of Holly Springs, MS; husband: Luther C. Shipp of Holly Springs, MS; one son: Dedrick White of Holly Springs, MS; two brothers: Marcell Curry (Lakeesha) of Byhalia, MS and Michael Curry (Evette) of Chicago, IL; one sister: Shaquita Lumpkin (Natheniel) of Byhalia, MS; one aunt: Vernice Turnage of Memphis, TN; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother: Meter Mae Rivers Curry; one sister: Shevita Jackson; and one aunt: Janice Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.
Burial will take place at Wilkins Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Waterford, MS.
