Mr. John Wayne Hancock, 64, of Ingomar, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at J&J Grocery in Ingomar, Mississippi.
Mr. Hancock was born on October 1, 1961, to the late John Murphy Hancock and Ann Jumper. He was a dedicated truck driver who took pride in his work and the life he built for his family.
John enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, playing pool, and spending time outdoors. Whether he was working on his truck, cutting grass, or gathering with loved ones for family cookouts, he found joy in being surrounded by those he loved most. His presence, laughter, and hardworking spirit will truly be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughter, Tishie (Jimmy) Jones of New Albany, Mississippi; one brother, William (Melissa) Hancock of Thaxton, Mississippi; two sisters, Carol (Jerry) Smith of Myrtle, Mississippi and Crystal Mabry of Blue Mountain, Mississippi; and four cherished grandchildren, Matthew Morris, Kaylee Adams, Justin Byers, and Starlyn Adams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Chad Byers; one brother, Scott Hancock; one grandson, Eli Byers; and his grandmother, Mittie Lou Ford.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
