Jessie James Isom

Mr. Jessie James Isom, 70, transitioned on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital, in Memphis, TN.

Mr. Jessie James Isom was born April 4, 1953, in Holly Springs, MS, to the late Lester Isom and Flora Wright Isom.

He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Hopewell #2 M.B. Church in Hudsonville, MS. Jessie attended Holly Springs High School. He was employed with Thermo-Pak as a welder in Memphis, TN.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memories, two sons: Mario Isom and Durwin (Tenikka) Collins both of Memphis, TN; three daughters: Sandra (Dennis) Harris of Cordova, TN, Brenda Lawshea, and Angela Brooks both of Holly Springs, MS; three brothers: Frank Isom of Olive Branch, MS, Robert Isom, Sr., and James (Elizabeth) Isom both of Holly Springs, MS; three sisters: Evelean Richard, Bessie Clayborn both of Holly Springs, MS, and Mae Lee Mason of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren: Corbin Williams, Jr., Mariahsen Harris, Sherrell Lawshea, Terrell Lawshea, and Amarea Brooks; four great grandchildren: Dar'Shun, Lawshea, Shamiya Jones, Diamond Lawshea, and Tra'Liya Kirkland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents: Lester Isom and Flora Wright Isom; four brothers: Lester B. Isom, Ricky Isom, Randy Isom, and Roy Isom; two sisters: Hattic Bell and Mac Dell Howell.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, 1:00 p.m., Services will be at 3:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS.

Burial will take place at Cottrell Memorial Garden, 505 NW Boundary St., Holly Springs, MS.
