Jason King, 79, transitioned on Saturday,  May 25, 2024, in Drew, MS

Jason Waldrop King was born November 2, 1944 in Union County, Mississippi to the late Jimmy Lee "Pete" King and the late Madora King.

He confessed a belief in Christ  in his younger years and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church in Blue Mountain, MS. Jason had various jobs including the Cotton Gin in Blue Mountain. He transitioned this life May 25, 2024 at Drew, Mississippi Hospital

Jason Waldrop King leaves his memories with his children and family. Two daughters; Mattie Lou King Banks of New Albany, MS, and Patricia Ann Tucker of Beaver, PA, two sons; Archie W. King (Lori) of Pontotoc, MS and Jason King of TX,  brothers; Curtis King (Alice) of Blue Mountain, MS, James King of Tupelo, MS, David King of Cleveland, MS and Robert Jones of Atlanta, GA, Charles King of New Albany, MS, one sister; Jessie Mae Graves (Mike) of Kansas City, MO, 17 grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters; Brenda King and Kathy Lee King, one grandson; La'Marcus D'Unte King.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS  38652

Services will held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., New Birth Community Church, 614 Glade Avenue, New Albany, MS  .38652
