Mr. James Willard, 81, transitioned on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford, MS.
He was born June 1, 1943 in Union County, MS to Johnnie Willard and May Bell Thomas. He was employed as a Supervisor in the furniture Industry.
James was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing basketball, hunting, fishing and attending church services.
He is survived by his wife; Linda Mayo Willard of New Albany, MS, one brother; Jackie Willard of Pinedale, nieces and nephews, His fur babies; Balee, Heidi, Binki and Big Boy. Many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Johnnie and May Bell Thomas Willard.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., and Service at 2:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS 38652.
Burial will take place at Glenfield Memorial Park, 101 N. Denton Road, New Albany, MS 38652.
