James Edward Powell

Edward James Powell, 68, transitioned on Friday, March 11, 2022, Baptist Memorial Hospital East, Memphis, TN.

He was born March 27, 1953 to the late Amos Powell and Ethelene Powell in Marshall County, MS. James is preceded in death by his parents: Amos and Ethelene Powell, four brothers: Casey Powell, Charles Powell, Amos Powell, and Roy Powell, his grandmother Alberta McNeil, a niece Sharon Powell Davis and Uncle Willie Sharp. 
 

He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters: Carrie Sharp of Holly Springs, MS and Jerlean Holt of Memphis, TN; three brothers Leon Powell of Holly Springs, MS, Willie Powell of Holly Springs, MS ,and Issac (Rosie) Powell of Memphis, TN, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.  

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022,  4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS.

Service will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS.

Burial will be at Cottrell Memorial Cemetery, Holly Springs, MS.
