James Grayson, Jr.

Mr. James Grayson, Jr., 67, of Potts Camp, MS, transitioned on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS.

James Grayson, Jr., was born November 21, 1957 to Dorothy and James Grayson, Sr. of Potts Camp, MS. He departed this life Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS surrounded by his loving army.

James is preceded in death by his father; James Grayson, Sr. and his brother; Sammy Lee Grayson "Log"

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother; Dorothy Porter Grayson, five sisters; Glendora (Rufus) Paden, Josephine (Morris) Anderson, Dorothy (Lynn) Peterson, Brenda Grayson and Janice Rahman, one brother; Jimmy Grayson (Stana Smith) and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was well known for his kindness, sense of humor, and his love for all children. He will be greatly missed and remembered by all of his family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., at Mt. Ollie M.B. Church, 2923 Highway 349 South, Potts Camp. MS  38659.

Burial will take place at Baptist Hill Church Cemetery, Potts Camp, MS.
