James Edward Campbell

James Edward Campbell, 43, transitioned on Friday, February 10, 2023, in Lamar, MS.

Mr. James Edward Campbell was born August 7, 1979, to Linda Campbell and Charles Fitzpatrick in Marshall County, MS. James was known as “Lil Campbell” to all that knew and loved him.

James accepted Christ at an early age and joined Kimbrough Chapel M.B. Church in Lamar, MS. He attended Holly Springs High School.  He was a man of many trades; he worked as a Plumber and managed several rental properties.

James leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Linda Campbell of Lamar, MS; his father Charles Fitzpatrick of Memphis, TN; one daughter: Mercedes Moore of Holly Springs, MS; three sons: Dae’Mond Ivey of Memphis, TN, Kelisazel Campbell and MarJavian Wilson both of Holly Springs, MS; six sisters: Qwanesha Mitchell, Makayla Houston both of Ashland, MS, Jasmin Wells of Byhalia, MS, Charleah Fitzpatrick, Charla Fitzpatrick both of Columbus, MS, and Lillie Muse of Holly Springs, MS; four brothers: Dontral Campbell, Christopher Campbell both of Holly Springs, MS, Xavier Nolan of Memphis, TN, and Charles Fitzpatrick of Dallas, TX; two grandfathers: Claude Campbell and Lawrence Gatewood, TN; five grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends; and a special childhood friend Judah Martin.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Burnett Gatewood and Annie Bell Campbell

Visitation will be held on Friday, March, 10, 2023, 12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140, North Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635

Body will lie in state on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:59 p.m., and Services will be at 1:00 p.m., at New Dimension Salt & Light Ministries, 565 Neely Avenue, Holly Springs, MS 38635

Burial will take place in  Kimbrough Chapel Church Cemetery, 1250 Kimbrough Chapel Rd., Lamar, MS  38642.
