Irene D. (Ambrose) Kilpatrick

Mrs. Irene D. Ambrose-Kilpatrick, 56, transitioned on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her residence in Holly Springs. She was born June 9, 1964, to the late Ms. Annie B. Ambrose of Holly Springs, Mississippi.                

Irene  accepted Christ at an early age, joining  Hudsonville C.M.E. Church, where she remained true to her faith. She graduated from Sand Flat High School  and  Rust College with a double degree in Business; a proud AKA Soror Sister.  Irene worked for the FedEx Corporation for over 28 years in Customer Service,  Walmart in Customer Services,  and  a Dispatcher for the Holly Springs Police Department. Irene had a zest for life, a heart big enough that she shared it freely.

Irene united in Holy Matrimony to the late Terry Kilpatrick, Sr. on  June 28, 1986, to their union one son, Terry Lorenzer Kilpatrick, II was born.

Irene leaves to cherish her memories; One son: Terry Kilpatrick, II of Holly Springs, MS, three grandchildren: Lorentaye Johnson, Jayden Kilpatrick of Hickory Flat, MS, Terriyuna Kilpatrick of Ashland, two sisters: Janie Bowen of Red Banks, MS, Annette (Lee Earl)  Jones of  Memphis, TN,  one  brother:   Zachary (Stella) Cornelious of Lamar, MS, one aunt: Elizabeth Gaythos of Buffalo, NY,  a special cousin/sister: Beverly Hibbler of Memphis, TN, three special friends:  Margaret  Mayes of  Jacksonville, FL,  Juliette  Peppins of Macon, MS,  (Soror Sister), Patricia  Fonville  of Jackson,  MS,  and a host of nieces, nephews, many relatives,  and friends to mourn her passing.

Irene was proceeded in death by her husband, Terry L. Kilpatrick, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 4-7p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Burial will take place at Hudsonville C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
