Gwendolyn B. Moore

Gwendolyn B. Moore, 75, of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Holly Springs Health & Rehab.

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Moore was born June 29, 1950, in Red Banks, MS. She was the second of seven children born to the late Savaniel Moore, Sr. and Brunetta Robinson Moore.

Gwen was a faithful member of David’s Temple in Holly Springs, MS. until her health began to fail.

Gwen graduated from Holly Springs High School in 1971 and from Rust College in 1977, both located in Holly Springs, MS.

She departed earth for her Heavenly home on Monday, July 21, 2025. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Savaniel Sr. and Brunetta: siblings Othello, David, Savaniel, Jr, Pattie, and Slyvester.

Gwen leaves a loving family to cherish her memories, including her children Marcus M. and Chasidy M. Moore and five grandchildren Derrick, Jr., Lyric, Corey, Courtney, and Caitlin.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, she leaves  behind three sisters: Terrie, Anna, Elizabeth, three brothers: Thomas (LuBertha), Ronald (Pamela), and Sidney (Jeanette): two  aunts Shelby X and Vannette X: one sister-in-law Mary Frances, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all who loved her.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, 288 SA Phillips Drive, Red Banks, MS  38661

Body will lie in state 1 hour before service.

Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
